About Your Guide

My name is Mark Galla, and I’ll be your host. I have lived in Alaska since 1967, and have spent most of my free time exploring the outdoors and enjoying the many things it has to offer: hunting, fishing, backpacking, and photography. I have commercial fished for Salmon, Halibut, Crab, and Shrimp in past years; and now exclusively offer custom-tailored Alaskan excursions. I am permitted with the U.S. Forest Service to guide trips into the Tongass National Forest, including the spectacular Stikine (Sti-keen)-LeConte and South Etolin Wildernesses. I have my 100-ton captain’s license, and Advanced First Aid and CPR certificates. I am fully licensed and insured to perform guiding and chartering services. My promise to you is simple. I will provide the best service possible to meet your expectations using my many years of experience in Southeast Alaska - Mark Galla

We do not send our clients away disappointed. Here are a few comments that customers have sent us:

"Mark: Just a note to thank you again for the fantastic fishing and sightseeing excursions we did with you for those 7 days in August! The Inside Passage and its calm waters, the Stikine River, were truly magnificent. The abundance of both land and marine mammals, spectacular whale watching-the excellent fishing-beautiful scenery- and meals fit for a king- were all more than we could have expected! All combined to make for an Awesome Alaskan Experience! We are counting the days until our 9-day excursion we have booked with you next year!"
Sincerely, Bob

"Thank you for a wonderful Alaska experience! We both enjoyed the comfort of the boat at night, and viewing marine life including humpback whales, killer whales, seals, sea otters, and waterfowl. We also saw plenty of bears and four wolves. Southeast Alaska’s temperate rainforest is exceptionally beautiful. You and your operation are top-notch! You work very hard to satisfy your clients, and are a lot of fun to be with. We plan on returning to visit again soon!"
